Earth Day Celebration

Bring the whole family and join us for some old-fashioned barnyard fun with our visiting chickens, turkeys, horses, goats, and our special guest, Oliver the Pig! Come enjoy a complimentary Travein’ Toms Coffee or Hot Chocolate, learn about bees, and plant sunflower seed to take home in your very own decorated starter pot. Meet Kate Hogan, longtime community naturalist and environmental educator, who will share her incredible knowledge about birds, mammals, and reptiles. Kate has worked at Denver Audubon, Denver Zoo, and the Aquarium. Get outside with us for some fresh air with friends and family and discover the beauty and untouched nature of the Farm. For families.

Cutting Garden Workshop

Devon Hukill, of Deep Rooted Garden and Design, will share with us tips for the flower selection process, teaching us how to choose flowers that not only thrive in your garden but also provide long-lasting beauty when cut. Join Julie Bennet, Cherry Hills Village Elementary's art teacher, for a whimsical art workshop at Quincy Farm, where imagination meets the great outdoors! Young artists will collect unique nature treasures like leaves, twigs, and pine needles from our beautiful farm grounds. Using air-dry clay and vibrant paints, they will transform these natural finds into delightful ornaments or wearable pendants. Let your creativity blossom in a fun, hands-on environment, and take home a piece of nature’s beauty! Perfect for kids who love to explore and create! For families.

We had a fabulous time and a big turnout with 2 nature partners at one event at Quincy Farm! Hawkquest & Butterfly Pavillion put on a show for all the kids and kids at heart on this beautiful fall morning at the Farm.
With the Big Barn Renovation Project underway and Adventures in Nature returning in 2025, we were pleased to bring these exciting live demonstrations on the west side lawn
Young at Art

Kids loved the afternoon of arts & crafts inside and around Quincy Farm’s Big Barn! Young artists took a magical walk with Julie Bennett, Cherry Hills Village Elementary’s art teacher, and explored the grounds, searching for natural "treasures" to be used in creating beautiful planter art. Kids used sticks, paint, yarn, beads, and more to decorate their planter pots, and played in the dirt, potting a real flower as well.

Kids brought their binoculars (or borrowed ours) and joined us for a morning of birding at Quincy Farm with Denver Audubon. It’s always a wonder when we set out in search of our feathered friends at the Farm. We took a peek at who lives in the trees and which feathered fowl frequent the pond and let our senses come alive with the sights and sounds of these Colorado beauties. We all loved getting outside with friends at Quincy Farm!
Creeks & Critters

Our most popular summer family program with Denver Audubon made a huge splash! Families cooled off in the creek and discovered countless crawdads and other critters. Kids of all ages used their scientific skills, skimming the creek with nets and curiosity. We always have the best time at Woodie Hollow Park!

We spent the evening surrounded by blooms and creativity inside the Big Barn with Cindy Overhardt from Flower Power. The group learned so much about flower arranging and left with a stunning arrangement to show for it. Feeling like floral pros now! This new event will definitely be repeated!

What an incredible time we had at the live raptor demonstration at Quincy Farm! Families loved the engaging and informative encounter with the Raptor Foundation, Beautiful eagles, owls, and hawks flaunted their feathers and got up close and personal with curious kids and adults.

It was a beautiful morning of bird-watching with Denver Audubon. We were led by longtime Denver Audubon volunteer, Barbara Masoner, and found 14 species of birds! We strolled the farm and found birds perched up high in the tree canopy and feeding in and around the pond.

We had a great turnout for High Line Canal Conservancy's CEO Harriet LaMair’s talk about the science and the strategy behind the Conservancy’s plan to preserve water, tree canopy, and biodiversity along the canal that protects this valuable open space network.

A Big Success!
Over 200 Cherry Hills Village residents and neighboring friends gathered at the Farm under clear skies and sunshine to meet the visiting farm animals — chickens, goats, Maui the Turkey (on loan from Carol Breeze), the Ebel’s horses Aspen & Hope, and Oliver the Pig!
There is no parking at Quincy Farm. Please walk or ride, when possible.
Parking is available at Kent Denver for this event. Follow the High Line Canal to Quincy Farm.

It was a lovely morning with Denver Audubon, who introduced our youngest outdoor explorers to 18 species of birds at Quincy Farm!
Dr. Mary Fran Park, Science Chair at Kent Denver School, led an insightful discussion about the importance of children in nature.
It was an evening to remember, as friends and neighbors gathered for a stomping good time at Quincy Farm. Thank you to everyone who attended and supported us!
